3. In case of emergency call Crown Castle Network Operations center at 866-553-4237.

Definitions:

Locating: The use of test holes by vacuum excavation or comparable non-destructive equipment at critical point along a subsurface utility facility’s path thus exposing the underground facility and allowing the precise measurements of the depth and horizontal position to be made.

Designating: Utilizing electromagnetic, magnetic, sonic, and other energy fields for determining the existence and approximate horizontal location of underground utility facilities. Underground facilities will be marked by stakes, flags, paint or other suitable materials in varying combinations dependent upon surface conditions using American Public Works Association Utility Location Coordination Council Color Codes.

Hold/Guard/Protect: Shall include, but not be limited to, permittee’s use of an onsite representative during active construction operations. During excavation operations, Representative may be required to physically expose underground facilities, provide any necessary support to the Facilities, and/or cover aerial facilities as deemed necessary to aid construction.

• THIS PROJECT WILL RELOCATE FACILITIES IN CONFLICT WITH: COUNTRYWIDE MAST ARM SIGNAL HARDENING AND

INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT – TAMPA RD AND WEST LAKE RD INTERSECTION.

• All Duke Energy facilities are energized at 12,470V. “Minimum Clearance Distances” specified in Subpart CC of OSHA Rule 29 CFR Part 1926 (as they pertain to crane/derrick operations), and/or those minimum distances specified in 29 CFR 1910.33©(3) for work in proximity to power lines not covered by this Subpart CC, MUST be maintained

• During Construction – The contractor shall allow Duke Energy personnel to access their facilities at all times.

• All Duke Energy relocation activities are intended to be done during its regular scheduled, non-weekend or observed holiday, working hours. Exceptions may be coordinated for specific project needs if prior arrangements have been agreed to by both Duke Energy and Pinellas County. No nighttime relocation activities involving energized conductors or equipment will be performed, with exception of outage restoration or other emergency type work, per the Duke Energy Safety Manual regulations.

• All NESC and OSHA required clearances from energized covering does not decrease the required code clearances conductors and equipment should be maintained. Covering of conductors will not be performed by Duke Energy as covering does not decrease the required code clearances.

• Bucket truck access must be maintained to all of Duke Energy’s existing and proposed equipment locations throughout the duration of project construction for maintenance and outage construction restoration.

• Upon completion of any or all of relocations, as described in this approved Utility Work Schedule, any additional relocation of newly installed system that is required due to deviation by Pinellas County or its roadway contractor from the plans dated 12/2021 as provided to Duke Energy will be done at the expense of Pinellas County or its roadway contractor. Upon notification of such change, Duke Energy will proceed with the design and construction of the additional relocation within the standard work schedule.

• Duke Energy Distribution cannot remove old facilities until new facilities are energized and existing customers services have been relocated

• Work estimated in “Consecutive Calendar Days” is assumed to be non-inclement weather days. Duke Energy’s resources can also be affected by weather not directly contacting the Florida region as the company supports (MUTUAL AID) other utility companies in surrounding areas and states.

• De-energization of electric facilities shall be determined solely by Duke Energy and dependent upon distribution system conditions at the time of request.

• Duke Energy poles scheduled to be removed, will be removed once they are cleared by all joint users and notification by Pinellas County, or its contractor, is provided to Duke Energy’s representative.

• Duke Energy requests Pinellas County, or its contractor, to provide right-of-way staking prior to Duke Energy relocations.

• Duke Energy requires one hundred twenty (120) working days, to the start of project construction by the road contractor for Duke Energy relocation work identified as “prior to construction” to secure construction resources. These additional days have been added to “Total NON-Construction Time”

• Duke Energy requires that a trench box be utilized during the construction of underground pipe whenever the construction takes place adjacent to its existing or proposed facilities to negate the need for bracing/holding. Duke Energy Distribution will not be responsible for the bracing/holding of poles once DE facilities have been removed and Joint User/Tenant facilities remain; this will be the responsibility of the Joint Users.
