About this file
This is an addendum to an ID/IQ (Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity) contract appendix that modifies physical security requirements and specifications for FDA facilities.
The addendum clarifies that four items from Section I (FDA Sole Occupant) are not applicable to this contract: garage area/inside parking, secured area for government vehicles, perimeter parking, and guard service. Additionally, the document revises the Intrusion Detection/Access Control System requirements for Section II (FDA Occupant in Multi-Tenant Building). The revised specifications require card readers on all perimeter door entrances, intrusion alarms with door contacts and window sensors to protect all FDA space, optional video intercoms with remote release stations, and integration with the FDA Physical Security Access Control System. These requirements establish the minimum security infrastructure that contractors must implement or maintain for FDA facilities operating in multi-tenant buildings.
