About this file

This is a Data Item Description (DID) that defines the requirements for the Satellite Space Segment Plan (SSSP) required under contract 693KA8-25-R-00006 for the FAA's Alaskan Satellite Space Segment program. The contractor must deliver the SSSP to the Contracting Officer and COR within 30 days after contract award in MS Office 365 or PDF format.

The SSSP must detail four key areas: 1) Management approach for monitoring satellite links and transponders, including lease details if applicable; 2) Escalation plan with points of contact and procedures for updating contact information; 3) Restoral plan describing procedures for handling transponder/satellite outages, FAA notifications, and backup satellites/transponders; and 4) Technical support approach, including antenna alignment verification support and 24/7 troubleshooting assistance. The plan can use contractor format but must address all required content areas specified in SOW sections C.5.1 through C.5.6.
