About this file

This is Addendum #9 to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by Marion County, Oregon for construction and site improvements at various radio communications sites for the Marion County Radio Project. The addendum clarifies specifications and answers frequently asked questions regarding the project scope. Key clarifications include: exhaust fans, louvers, exterior hoods, and motorized dampers for Shelter One equipment and generator shelters are provided by the shelter supplier and not included in HVAC quotes; aluminum ladders for shelters will be supplied by the prefabricated shelter supplier rather than the contractor; warranty periods are addressed in Section 00110.00 of the Special Provisions and Section 00170.85 of the General Conditions for Construction; and tower foundation plans for House Mountain are referenced in Supporting Documents to be made available by October 20, 2025, with five other radio communication sites (Anderson-Pierce-Wonderly, Crooked Finger, Lower Prospect, McCully Mountain, and Wipper) having supporting structural documents already provided through SABRE Tower drawings.

The addendum serves as a binding modification to the original ITB issued on October 8, 2025, and is essential for all prospective offerors to acknowledge and incorporate into their bid submissions. The document directs bidders to specific contract documents and previous addenda for additional clarification on technical specifications and requirements. Funding for this project is provided through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) resources, with the project encompassing earthwork, surfacing, structural, mechanical, electrical, and related site enhancements across multiple radio communications locations within Marion County.

The following information in this addendum, hereby become part of the Invitation To Bid. It is essential that all prospective Offerors note the content of this Addendum.

A. Question and Answers:

1. What is the warranty period on the work done on the project?

Refer to Section 00110.00 of the Special Provisions and 00170.85 of the General Conditions for Construction for Marion County.

2. Could you advise if the exhaust fans, louvers, exterior hoods and motorized dampers are part of the "Shelter One" equipment and generator shelters or would they be part of a HVAC quote?

The exhaust fans, louvers, exterior hoods and motorized dampers as shown in the shelter drawings are provided with the shelter by Shelter One.

3. Can you clarify if the aluminum ladders for the shelters are included with the shelter or if they need to be supplied?

The aluminum ladders will be supplied by the prefabricated shelter supplier, not the Contractor.
