About this file

This is Addendum Number 1 to the bidding documents for a YOS Building 7 HVAC Replacement project issued by the Colorado Department of Corrections through Schendt Engineering Corporation on October 7, 2016. The project involves HVAC system replacement at the Youth Offender System Campus Building 7 facility. A mandatory pre-bid meeting was held on October 6, 2016, at 10:00 AM, and only contractors who attended this meeting are eligible to submit bids. The bid deadline is Thursday, October 13, 2016, at 4:00 PM MDT, with electronic submission required per the Documented Quote dated September 29, 2016. Written questions must be submitted via email to the engineer at kmerlerola@secengr.com by Monday, October 10, 2016, at 5:00 PM, with a final addendum to be issued on Tuesday, October 11, 2016. The addendum clarifies several scope modifications, including removal of certain crawlspace demolition work and resolution of ductwork insulation specifications, and references a revised curb cap diagram (M5.01A).

The addendum establishes operational requirements for work execution on an occupied facility, specifying that construction shall occur during normal business hours Monday through Friday with after-hours work permitted with advance notice. The Dining Hall will remain partially operational with one-half of the area closed during construction. Contractors must designate staging and stockpiling areas subject to Owner's Project Representative approval, prohibit disposal of waste in Owner containers, maintain strict dust and debris control with daily cleaning requirements, and ensure all personnel avoid interaction with facility residents. Siemens serves as the on-site DHS controls contractor with Steve Mills (Stephen.Mills@Siemens.com, 303-513-5321) as the primary contact. All bidding documents are available electronically from Schendt Engineering's FTP site at ftp://96.81.48.17/CDOC_YOS_B7/.
