About this file

Addendum 1 for RFB DMAVS 2026-01 is issued by the New Hampshire Department of Military Affairs and Veterans Services, pertaining to the NHARNG Center Strafford Building 12 Interior Renovation project. The addendum addresses vendor inquiries and provides clarifications about the bid, with key updates including an extended project completion date to 12/28/25 and confirmation of the bid submission deadline of July 25, 2025, at 12:00 PM EST. The document clarifies that there are no plans for phones, cameras, or access control systems, and the electrical legend is a standard specification. The addendum also indicates that any future changes will be posted to the website by 7/18/25 at 3:00 PM, and an existing water heater will remain for future bathroom installations not part of the current scope of work.

The addendum provides additional technical clarifications for potential bidders, noting that demolition of the slab for plumbing would typically be handled by the general contractor or demolition subcontractor, leaving specific coordination to the bidder's discretion. The document emphasizes that all relevant information is available in the existing bid documents, and potential bidders should carefully review these materials. No specific pricing terms, set-asides, or funding details are discussed in this addendum, which primarily serves to address specific vendor questions and provide minor clarifications to the original bid specifications.

ADDENDUM 1

Vendor Inquiries and Department Responses

Inquiry 1: In the solicitation on page 5, it mentions the contract term is through November 28. That is the same date as when this job was released the first time for bidding in February. All of the other dates have been updated, except that one. Was that an oversight, or will the project still need to be completed by November 28?

Response 1: The completion date can be pushed out to 12/28/25 at the latest.

Inquiry 2: Is there additional plans or information for the Tel/Data plans for the bid. I see access control/ cameras and tel/data on the electrical legend but I cannot find floor plans.

Response 2: No. There are no plans for phones or cameras. The electrical legend is a blanket statement that is used on all specs.

Inquiry 3: I see the due date is 7/25/25, is that still the case?

Response 3: The final due date for formal bid submission is Friday, 07/25/25 by 12:00 PM. Any bids received after that time will not be opened/considered.

Inquiry 4: Is there a security system component to the bid that includes video surveillance and/or access control?

Response 4: No, there is no video or access control component to this bid.

Inquiry 5: If there is a security system component, is it hard specified for a specific manufacturer? Or is it open to all manufacturers?

Response 5: See above.

Inquiry 6: Has there been any recent changes, or pertinent information I should know before moving forward?

Response 6: All information is available in the bid documents. If there are any changes, they will be posted to the website as an addendum on or before 7/18/25 by 3:00pm.

Inquiry 7: The current water heater that isn't completed, what is that going to feed? Looks like from the drawings that no bathrooms or sinks are going to be installed.

Response 7: The existing water heater to remain is for future bathrooms which is not part of the current scope of work.

Inquiry 8: Is the demo of the floor to be completed in the plumbing scope of work?

Response 8: Demolition of the slab for plumbing would typically fall to the general contractor or demolition subcontractor but that is up to the bidder to work out.
