About this file

This is an Addendum #1 document issued by Boulder Associates Architects on May 11, 2017, modifying the original contract documents for the Veterans Community Living Center at Rifle State Project 2016-032P15, which involves Resident Safety and Accessibility Improvements. The addendum provides clarifications regarding project execution and work specifications. Key operational requirements include maintaining building access during construction at the main entrance and north parking lot through either safe pedestrian access or phased work scheduling. The facility will remain operational during construction with capacity to vacate one corridor side for 7-hour shifts or up to 4 resident rooms at one time. Work hours are limited to Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM. Contractors must identify their proposed project completion timeline on the bid form, with the anticipated timeframe provided as an estimate only and not a maximum calendar day limit. The contract contains no liquidated damages provisions.

The addendum clarifies that Davis Bacon wages do not apply to this project. For electrical systems, General Conditions Article 42 supersedes specification section 260500.2.6 regarding warranty length. All existing exit lights must remain in place and be reinstalled in the new ceiling tile at the same location per keynote 5. The addendum also includes minor drawing sheet modifications to sheets A1.1 and L1.0 for clarification purposes, removing incidental linework and clarifying the scope of integral color concrete to align with architectural and civil drawings.
