About this file
The document is an Addendum (#1) to Request for Proposals (RFP 25-005) issued by the Salem Area Mass Transit District (SAMTD) for an Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS). The addendum provides clarifications and responses to potential bidders' questions about the project, with the primary goal of implementing a new asset management system to replace their current end-of-life system. SAMTD seeks a comprehensive solution that will help modernize their existing workflows, migrate data from a current SQL database, and support asset management across all asset classes. The district indicates an ideal "go-live" date as soon as possible and is open to implementing new workflows that improve their current business processes.
The addendum reveals that SAMTD is not currently using GIS maps, has one warehousing facility at the Del Webb location, and possesses existing preventative maintenance (PM) procedures for all asset classes that will need to be loaded into the new system. The district has intentionally not disclosed a specific project budget to encourage competitive bidding and ensure vendors fully understand the project requirements. Their previous EAMS solicitation (RFP 24-009) was cancelled on 8/16/2024, and they are now seeking a new vendor to implement a modern enterprise asset management platform that can support their operational needs, including inventory management, work order tracking, and asset lifecycle management.
