About this file
This document is an Ordering Data Sheet for a sealed gamma reference source. The source is a 25.4 mm diameter by 3.2 mm thick clear, plastic disk with a 1 mm active element located in the center. The source activity is 6 nCi (+/- 10%) Cobalt-60, and the vendor must ensure the activity does not exceed exempt quantity per 10 CFR 30. The source must be NIST-traceable, with calibration documentation provided, including the total activity, activity of each nuclide, uncertainty value, reference date, and results of leakage testing. The source is to be shipped to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, with the vendor required to make prior phone contact with the designated point of contact. This is related to a pre-solicitation for a Radioactive Source, Solicitation Number N4523A-VL00, issued by the Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command.
