This is an Estimate of Quantities Detail Sheet prepared by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation Highway Division for a roadway reconstruction project in Braintree, Massachusetts. The project encompasses Allen Street (stations 103+89 to 105+27.20 and 200+00 to 213+91), Thayer Road (stations 105+27.20 to 106+10), and Shaw Street (stations 300+97 to 302+29.37), classified as Minor Collector, Minor Arterial, and Principal Arterial roads. The project is scheduled for Federal Fiscal Year 2026 with a date of August 2026. The scope includes proposed micromill and overlay work covering 730 square yards, full-depth construction on 3,295 square yards, hot mix asphalt driveways on 205 square yards, hot mix asphalt sidewalks on 36 square yards, cement concrete driveways on 130 square yards, and cement concrete sidewalks on 1,035 square yards with pedestrian curb ramps. Additional work includes tree protection and pruning at two locations, removal of 16 trees under 24 inches in diameter, removal and adjustment of drainage structures, installation of new catch basins, manholes, sanitary sewer structures, hydrants, mailbox relocation, landscape plantings including bayberry shrubs and spirea, highway lighting pole and luminaire installation and removal, and sign installation at 17 locations throughout the project corridor.

The project specifications require all Superpave hot mix asphalt to utilize warm mix asphalt technology and comply with Section 450 Hot Mix Asphalt standards and Section M3 Asphaltic Materials requirements. Pavement milling shall achieve a 2.00% cross slope or maintain existing cross slope with construction tolerances of 0.5% on sidewalk slopes, driveway slopes, and wheelchair ramps. All work is to be performed as shown on the plans and as directed by the Engineer and the Town of Braintree. The project is funded through Federal Highway Administration sources under FAP No. STP/HPP-003S(904)X, and bidders are instructed not to use COMMBUYS to submit proposals for this project.
