About this file
This document outlines a statement of work for a federal contract to restore power and install electrical equipment at Kennedy Space Center. The scope of work includes demolishing existing electrical infrastructure, installing new transformers rated up to 75KVA, installing underground cable runs up to 250 feet, installing a new 200-amp electrical panel, and replacing lighting fixtures with LED models. The work must be completed within 180 calendar days and will involve coordination with facility managers. The contractor must provide as-built drawings, inspection support, and a site safety plan. This appears to support the multiple award blanket purchase agreement solicitation from NASA Kennedy Space Center to establish agreements for responding to unforeseen electrical construction and facility maintenance tasks across KSC, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, and the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge for up to five years.

Follow all NASA and NEC Guidelines.
Use the proper PPE.
Install new 75 KVA, 240V transformer with mounting hardware. Do not attempt to energize.
Adjust/verify the P6-1738, Panel Ceramic Shop main breaker TMA setting to MED (340A). Adjust/verify the I3 setting at MAX. Attach verified field photo breaker settings to work order. This is for coordination purposes.
Install new fusible disconnect with 15A fuse properly sized for the new transformer line side. May use existing holder if in good condition and new fuse is secure.
Connect the transformer Line side jack connectors, arrestor/bushings and conductors.
Verify proper spark gap.
Pole’s 99-22 and 99-23 50 KVA Transformer and applicable equipment:
Follow all NASA and NEC Guidelines.
Use the proper PPE.
Verify all associated equipment is de-energized powering the Pole 99-22. (Note: Pole 99-22 is not properly field labeled).
Install a new stainless steel, NEMA 4X flush/wall mounted 200A, rated 600V panel at P6-1382 Bathroom with gasket. This shall include a 200A main breaker with overload and magnetic settings, surge protection (external). Overall to include 20 slots for breakers. Reference panel schedule for information.
Install ground rod at the panel.
Install a local 20A GFI. Reference panel schedule for information.
Verify SPARES are in the OFF position.
Label the new panel with a standardized lamacoid nameplate. Legible font black face with white text. 4" x 6". Fixed to equipment at eye level.
Line 1: "Panel P6-1382" Line 2: "208/120VAC 1PH" Line 3: "Fed from Pole 99-22 Transformer" Update the Panel Schedule.
Add new lighting fixture for the bathrooms entrance. Location is under the roof just inside the building. Use a spare breaker in the new panel if needed.
Install a wall mounted NEMA 3R accessible, junction box for the existing from P6-1382 Restrooms cabling next to Disconnect Lift Station. This existing cabling to be used for powering bathrooms from new 200A Panel.
Reference panel schedule for information.
Install and connect 3/4" flex conduit with 3-10 AWG, 1-10 AWG GND THHN cable aboveground to existing Disconnect Lift Station. Terminate at Disconnect Lift Station line side. Reference panel schedule for information.
Label the Disconnect Lift Station with a standardized lamacoid nameplate. Legible font black face with white text. 4" x 6". Fixed to equipment at eye level.
Line 1: "Disconnect Lift Station" Line 2: "208VAC 1PH" Line 3: "Fed from Panel P6-1382 CKT-9,11"
At Pole 99-22, install one concrete poll with Unistrut. This is for the new disconnect (rated 200A) to be fed from the new overhead transformer.
Install accessible 316 stainless steel, NEMA 4X, rated 250V, 200A disconnect at new concrete poll with Unistrut. Install 180A fuses inside box for nearby Panel P6-1382 Restrooms. Facing towards P6-1382. Install cabling in conduit to load side of the transformer.
Label the Disconnect Panel P6-1382 with a standardized lamacoid nameplate. Legible font black face with white text. 4" x 6". Fixed to equipment at eye level.
Line 1: "Disconnect Panel P6-1382" Line 2: "208VAC 1PH" Line 3: "Fed from Pole 99-22 Transformer" Install ground rod at the disconnect.
Install schedule 80 underground 2" conduit with 3-3/0 AWG, 1-6 AWG GND cable from Pole 99-22 new “Disconnect Panel P6-1382” to new “Panel P6-1382”. A minimum of 18" in depth. Approximately 200ft.
Install new LED lighting in Men’s and Women’s bathroom.
Extend 12AWG cables from the Panel P6-1382 to the junction box. Tie cables to appropriate cables to energize the new LED lighting. Reference panel schedule for information.
Connect 10AWG cabling to the Men’s and Women’s water heaters from the Panel P6-1382. Verify if via the new junction box with cabling. Each water heater needing a dedicated circuit. Use either 20A or 30A Spares depending on nameplate data. Reference panel schedule for information. Notify engineering if neither option is compliant. Update the Panel Schedule.
Install new fused disconnect with 10A fuse for line side of transformer. May use existing holder if in good condition and new fuse is secure.
Verify/Reconnect the Line side Lighting Arrestor.
Verify proper spark gap.
