About this file

This file is a Bonfire Guide document providing procurement portal instructions for the City of Charlotte, North Carolina. The guide outlines the submission procedures for all solicitation responses, which must be submitted electronically through the Bonfire procurement portal at https://charlottenc.bonfirehub.com/opportunities prior to each project's posted deadline. The City recommends vendors allow at least one week before the deadline to upload documents and finalize submissions, as upload times may vary depending on file size and internet connection speed. All solicitation questions must be directed to the Bonfire portal's Vendor Discussions section under the respective project. The portal is compatible with Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox, with JavaScript and browser cookies enabled as necessary requirements for access.

Technical support for Bonfire portal issues is available through the Bonfire help forum at https://vendorsupport.gobonfire.com/hc/en-us, via email at Support@GoBonfire.com, or by telephone at 1-800-354-8010. The City of Charlotte anticipates using resulting contracts for pump and motor repair services across its portfolio of approximately 180 buildings, including municipal offices, fire stations, police divisions, equipment shops, and cultural facilities such as museums and arenas, with potential use by the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) and the Airport. Services will consist of labor, materials, equipment, and supervision for repair of alternating current three-phase low voltage motors (600V and less) and close-coupled pump units at various City locations. Individual task orders are not expected to exceed $50,000 each, and the City reserves the right to solicit quotes from multiple companies prior to project assignment and to furnish equipment or supplies as needed.
