About this file

This is a Drug-Free Workplace Certification document required by the State of Florida under Section 287.087 of the Florida Statutes for the Forestmeadows Tennis Courts 17 & 18 Conversion Project located at 4750 Meridian Road, Tallahassee, Florida. The certification establishes that bidders must demonstrate implementation of a drug-free workplace program to receive preference in award decisions when bids are equal in price, quality, and service. The document outlines six mandatory requirements for maintaining a drug-free workplace program, including publishing a statement prohibiting controlled substance activity in the workplace, informing employees of drug abuse dangers and available assistance programs, distributing the policy statement to all employees, requiring employees to report drug-related convictions within five days, imposing sanctions or requiring participation in rehabilitation programs for violations, and maintaining good faith efforts to sustain the program.

Respondents must sign and return the certification form to confirm full compliance with all drug-free workplace requirements. The certification requires the authorized signatory to attest that the firm meets all specified criteria, with false statements subject to legal penalties. This certification document does not contain pricing information, set-asides, funding details, or contract term specifications, as it serves solely as a compliance verification requirement for bid eligibility and award preference under Florida procurement law.
