About this file

This document package includes attachments for a federal solicitation requesting offers for a battery energy storage system project. The solicitation seeks a battery-based electrical energy storage system to provide primary power for Providencia Island, Colombia, connected to a new 1.8 megawatt solar power plant and integrated into the island's existing diesel generator system. The required battery energy storage system must have a 2.5 megawatt-hour capacity and one-hour minimum discharge duration, support interoperability of energy sources, regulate voltage and frequency, and supply up to 1.8 megawatts of power for one hour in emergency conditions. The attachments provide technical specifications and engineering documents for the battery energy storage system, solar power plant, and related components. They also outline contractor responsibilities, applicable regulations and standards, testing requirements, and other project details.
