About this file
This is a Performance Bond form issued by the City of Amarillo, Texas, for the Heritage Hills Public Improvement District (BVB 416-26) project. The bond template establishes the contractual relationship between a Principal (contractor), Surety (bonding company), and the City of Amarillo as Obligee. The document serves as a guarantee that the Principal will faithfully perform all work in accordance with the project plans, specifications, and contract documents. The bond is executed pursuant to Chapter 2253 of the Texas Government Code, and all liabilities are determined in accordance with that statutory chapter. The bond amount, execution date, Principal information, and Surety information are to be completed at the time of contract award.
The Performance Bond requires the Principal and Surety to jointly and severally bind themselves to ensure faithful performance of the contracted work. Should the Principal fail to perform the work according to the specified requirements, the bond remains in full force and effect, providing the Obligee with recourse against the bonded amount. The bond is a standard requirement for public improvement projects in Texas and protects the City of Amarillo's interests in the successful completion of the Heritage Hills infrastructure and landscape construction activities.
