About this file
This is a Payment Bond form issued by the City of Amarillo, Texas, for the Heritage Hills Public Improvement District (BVB 416-26) project. The bond template establishes a legal obligation between a principal contractor, a surety company, and the City of Amarillo as obligee. The bond guarantees that the principal contractor will pay all claimants, including subcontractors and material suppliers, for labor and materials provided during execution of the contracted work. The bond is executed pursuant to Chapter 2253 of the Texas Government Code, and all liabilities are determined according to the provisions of that statute. The form includes standard blanks for completion with the principal's name and entity type, surety company information, obligee details, contract date, work description, and bond amount in dollars.
The document serves as a financial guarantee mechanism required for public improvement projects in Texas municipalities. All liabilities under the bond are governed by Texas Government Code Chapter 2253, ensuring compliance with state requirements for public construction projects. The bond must be executed by authorized representatives of both the principal and surety, with appropriate seals and signatures. Notably, the form includes an instruction that the bond should not be dated, indicating this is a template document awaiting completion for the specific Heritage Hills project.
