About this file

This is an Addendum 3 (Q&A clarification document) to Solicitation 6-JV79-P-00119-00 for Site-Wide Laundry Service at Argonne National Laboratory, issued by the Department of Energy Office of Science on April 7, 2026. The addendum addresses contractor questions regarding operational procedures and requirements for providing laundry service, lab coat purchase program, and rental services for uniforms, lab coats, shop towels, and face coverings to support approximately 400 employees. Key clarifications include: communication regarding uniform changes and issues will occur between the technical representative and vendor; new hires will be fitted for uniforms during the vendor's onsite Tuesday visits; all onsite personnel must complete Contractor Safety Orientation (valid for 12 months) and be U.S. citizens with proper identification; there are no maximum vehicle height restrictions at the facility; and lab coat rental services are not currently offered, though company-owned lab coats are laundered as needed. All other terms and conditions of the original RFP remain unchanged. Offerors were required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum via email to Jackie Arriaga, Subcontracts Procurement Manager at Argonne National Laboratory.

April 7, 2026 This addendum is being issued to modify the subject FORMDROPDOWN as follows:

Clarifications:

1. Contractor Question: Who communicates uniform changes/issues with vendor?

Argonne Response: The tech rep. will be the one communicating directly with the vendor.

2. Contractor Question: How are new wearers set up?

Argonne Response: Currently the vendor has a rep onsite on Tuesdays for a couple of hours. New hires will meet with them and get fitted for uniforms.

3. Contractor Question: Are there any entry restrictions?

Argonne Response: Anyone who comes onsite needs to complete Contractor Safety Orientation. That certification is good for 12 months. Must also be a US citizen and have proper identification. Details can be found on Argonne website and in the terms of the solicitation.

4. Contractor Question: Is there a max height for vehicles?

Argonne Response: No

5. Contractor Question: Are there any lab coat rentals.

Argonne Response: Not currently, but that may change in the future. As of now, company owned lab coats are only sent out for laundering as needed.

ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE ABOVE REFERENCED RFP REMAIN THE SAME.
