About this file

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) and Request for Innovation (RFI) on January 23, 2023, for Indefinite Quantity Contracts (IQCs) covering expert professional design and construction services related to electric vehicle infrastructure, energy efficiency, and renewable energy. The RFP seeks to establish a federally compliant list of qualified providers who can respond to mini-RFPs if federal funds are awarded to support the agency's sustainability program. The contract period will span from 2023 through 2027, with the RFP number 6000001276, and is designed to enable quick response to potential grant opportunities.

The primary objective of this solicitation is to create a pre-qualified vendor pool that can rapidly engage in sustainability and net-zero initiatives. The RFI component specifically aims to gather information on innovative products and services that can support the agency's sustainability goals. Federal funding compliance is a critical requirement, necessitating that the agency be prepared to enter into federally compliant agreements with selected firms. Potential respondents are encouraged to submit their qualifications through the RFP, with questions directed to Mr. Peter Penaflor at ppenaflor@panynj.gov. The document underscores the agency's proactive approach to positioning itself competitively for future grant opportunities in sustainable infrastructure and energy projects.
