Question #1:

Specification Section 042000, Paragraph 2.1, includes a Delegated Design requirement stating:

“Prepare submittal documents including design calculations and drawings signed and sealed by a registered design professional, licensed in the state where work is located.”

Please clarify if this delegated design requirement applies to any portion of the masonry work on this project.

· Is the Government requiring a sealed delegated design submittal for any masonry components on this project?

· If so, please identify the specific locations or systems where this delegated design is expected.

Intent:

We are seeking to confirm if a delegated design submittal will be required so we can accurately account for associated design services in our bid.

Answer: This is not required for any portion of masonry work. (Rickert Engineering & DELLC, 9/18/2025) Question#2:

Beam Size Discrepancy (W12×40 vs. W12×45) Reference Drawings (Attached & Highlighted):

· Sheet 08-S101 – Plan shows W12×40

· Sheet 08-S202 – Section/Detail shows W12×45 Question:

Please confirm the correct beam size for this location. The plan and detail drawings show different sizes, and clarification is needed to ensure accurate pricing during bidding.

Answer: The roof beams shall be W12x45’s. (Rickert Engineering, 9/19/2025) Question #3:

1. Trane instead of Daikin ductless systems acceptable for bid?

Answer: Yes this is acceptable. (BKM 9/18/2025) Question #4:

CMU Recycled Content:

Paragraph 2.2.B.1 of Specification 042000 states that CMU shall contain recycled content to achieve the overall project recycled content requirement.

· Please clarify what the target recycled content percentage is for this project.

· If documentation is required, please confirm the format (manufacturer certification, EPD, etc.).

Answer: 30% Recycled Content; manufacturer data sheet is acceptable for documentation. DELLC, 9/21/25

Question #5 Rigid Insulation:

Detail 3/8-AE101 indicates 1.5" R-10 rigid insulation within the cavity between the brick veneer and CMU backup.

· Please confirm which specification section governs this rigid insulation.

· Please confirm the required material type and properties (e.g. polyiso, XPS, mineral wool, etc.) if not specified elsewhere.

Answer: See attached specification Section 07 21 13 Thermal Insulation.

Question #6 Thru-Wall Flashing:

The same detail also shows thru-wall flashing at the brick/CMU interface.

· Please confirm which specification section governs this flashing.

· Please confirm the required material type and installation requirements.

Answer: See attached Specification Section 07 60 00 for aluminum flashing installation requirements.

Question #7 On Drawings 03-B-TN-101 and 03-B-TY-101 shows a security camera. Is this an existing camera or is this to be provided new with this project?
