About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the replacement of two Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) units in Building 90131 at Hurlburt Field, Florida. The project requires the contractor to remove existing CRAC units and install two new Liebert brand (or equivalent) direct drive units, including comprehensive demolition, mechanical, and electrical work. Key tasks include disconnecting and removing existing water, electrical, and control lines; installing new water lines with hand-operated isolation valves; connecting new units to existing floor and ceiling plenums; reinstalling floor and ceiling tiles; and ensuring proper functionality of fire safety and electrical control systems.
The project involves detailed specifications for installation, including field verification of building systems, modular design considerations, and space constraint accommodations. The contractor must provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision, coordinate closely with the Contracting Officer and CE Project Manager, and submit all required documentation. Critical requirements include obtaining permits, providing a project schedule, protecting server room equipment during installation, leak testing new piping, and ensuring proper insulation of interior water lines. The government will withhold 3% of the contract sum until project completion and acceptance.
