About this file

This document provides specifications for a federal construction project. The General Services Administration seeks a general contractor to provide construction services for a new approximately 88,000 square foot office building space located in the Peachtree Summit Federal Building in Atlanta, Georgia. The project scope includes construction and renovation work, tenant improvements, and specialty construction services. The solicitation will follow FAR Part 15 procedures and evaluate technical and price proposals separately based on factors of past performance, management approach, and price. The contract will be awarded on a firm fixed price basis to a single offeror. Construction must meet federal energy goals, security requirements, and achieve LEED Gold and SITES Silver certifications.

Christopher Blackburn Project Manager, GSA

Project USCIS at Peachtree Summit Re: Addendum 002

Chris, Please find attached the updated specification for glazing in response to bidder’s questions regarding the replacement glazing unit. The spec adds the two glass types approved for use as replacement glazing for the building. Changes have been underlined. No substitutions will be accepted. Note that the contractor should price both options because the Building Manager has seen a large cost difference between the two in the past.

This issue includes the following:
