To All Prospective Offerors:
This document provides important updates to the solicitation. Please carefully review the following information:
1. The RFI Questions and Answers are as follows:
1. Clarification on the detailed requirements of the Processing Counter:
a. Is a stainless steel panel finish required on the plywood substrate below the resin panel assembly?
ANSWER: The exterior face of millwork does not need to be stainless steel.
Exterior of casework is to be plastic laminate behind resin panels on S/S standoffs. Color to be a matte gray PL. A selection of 5 options should be recommended in the Proposal, by the contractor, and final selection to be made by GSA and the Architect.

b. What should the color of the resin panel assembly be?
ANSWER: The top resin panel is 3form Ridge in a custom blue, and the bottom resin panel color is 3form Evo White.
c. What should the finish on the inside of the processing counter be, PLAM1?
ANSWER: Interior of the casework is white melamine. All agent-side edges of casework to be wrapped in stainless steel edging to be 2” deep.
2. Please provide a detail for the attachment of the 1-1/4" ballistic glass divider panels to the processing counter millwork below
ANSWER: The current attachment details the requirements for the ballistic panel, but to provide further clarification - The glass panel shall extend through the countertop into a 1.25” gap between base cabinets. S/S trim to be provided at interface between ballistic panel and S/S countertop. The panel is to be secured to counter by way of 4 threaded bolts through both base cabinets and the ballistic panel. Please refer to updated detail (below) for more information.
3. What is the glass make-up for the W1 and W2 window. Bullet resistant rating?
ANSWER: W1 and W2 do not include ballistic rated glazing. Glazing makeup is as indicated on AE602 and Attachment H: Project Manual: Section 88000 paragraph 2.8 (page 088000-6 of 088000-8). Laminated glazing has a thickness of .7125”
4. The framing called out for the windows is Kawneer 400 which only accepts
¼”-3/8” thickness. If bullet resistant per spec, this would be 1-1/4" thick.

ANSWER: The interior window frames (W1 & W2) should utilize: Kawneer VG 451 center mount glass pane as the basis of design. This is capable of accepting up to 1” thick glazing.
5. What is the hole spacing for the signage that bolts through the glass on the processing counters shown on Page AI101?.
ANSWER: The hole spacing for the through glazing station identification signage should be 2" o.c.
6. Will there be another opportunity for a walkthrough?
ANSWER: GSA will not provide a second opportunity for a Site Walkthrough.
