2024 Enhancements:
Upgraded portability offering: Members can now enjoy legal plan benefits after retiring or ending employment.
Enhanced ID theft protection: By integrating the user experience across MetLife Legal Plans and Aura Identity Fraud & Protection, we can now proactively notify members when they are eligible to use either benefit. For example: If a member takes out a mortgage loan to buy a new house, Aura can detect that new loan inquiry and proactively remind the member that MetLife Legal Plans includes legal services for real estate transactions.
Digital Estate Planning update: Video notary expanded to Washington, Washington D.C., and Arizona.
Educational enhancements: We’ve kicked off a new video series entitled “What if…” outlining common legal situations and offering advice on how to handle them, directly from a network attorney.
Lastly, in 2024, we amped up our LinkedIn presence, positioning it as a valuable content resource for clients, members, and brokers alike to not only learn how to optimize the legal plan, but discover who we are as a business.
Personalized caregiving app through Family First: Members with
Family First now have instant access to the best caregiving tools and resources.
Expanded the Self-Help Library. We added new documents to our Self-
Help Library and added new capabilities, including a more intuitive search function, to enhance the user experience and efficiency.

Insights and Trends
The four main generations comprising the current workforce — Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, and Generation Z
— have ever changing and evolving needs. In 2024, we embarked on research to better understand the varying life stages each generation inhabits and how their milestones and goals may differ. As the life journeys of the four generations overlap in some ways and diverge in others, our plans evolve and shift with their changing needs.
Our findings reveal how the legal plan can support each generation:

At MetLife, we believe that everyone in America should have access to legal support. We are working hard to change the perception that legal access is only available to a few people. We offer legal support to your employees from start to finish on a wide range of legal issues. When you consider that most people spend more on their morning coffee each week, we’re making it easy for employers across the country to level the playing field.
