About this file
This document contains Questions and Answers for a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Nevada Department of Corrections (NDOC) for Inmate Food Services. The RFP covers the provision of meals, including common fare and kosher options, to inmates across multiple NDOC facilities. Key details include specifications for menu items, serving sizes, delivery requirements, nutritional standards, and facility details such as kitchen setups and delivery access. The contract term is not explicitly stated, but the RFP allows for modifications to the menu and food items at the State's discretion.
Regarding pricing terms, the RFP indicates a preference for locally sourced products, particularly for bread, dairy, and produce. The current vendors for related services such as the inventory management system, dietitian, and kosher certification are also provided. The document also includes historical information on average monthly meal counts and sample Passover menus, but does not specify the contract value or funding sources.
