About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) Questions and Answers for VA Solicitation 36C25025B0022, concerning a Primary Care renovation project at the Chillicothe VAMC. The project involves ground and first floor renovations, with specific requirements including AKRO-MILS louvered panel installations, temporary wall partitions meeting ICRA Class IV standards, and off-hours/weekend work for sanitary and HVAC systems. Key operational details include VA clearing first-floor rooms, contractor moving furniture in 15 ground floor rooms, and full-time fire watch requirements during cutting and welding activities.
Critical technical and procedural aspects include using 3/4" fire-rated plywood with louvered panels, potential asbestos removal based on a September 2024 inspection report, and specific roller shade installations in designated rooms. The solicitation requires contractors to follow quality control specifications, handle potential wage fluctuations, and comply with specific installation and safety protocols. The bid date will not be extended, and contractors must carefully review room finish legends, drawing specifications, and coordinate with the existing Building Automation System service contractor.
