About this file

This document is a Bid Proposal for the City Hall Elevator Modernization project, issued by the City of Tucson, Arizona. The project involves modernizing two passenger elevators (Elevator Nos. 1 and 2) at the City Hall, with two primary bid items: modernizing the passenger elevators and related work. The bid includes an alternate option for resurfacing entrance frames with architectural brushed stainless-steel finish, adding new floor designation/tactile marking plates, providing new hoist-way door panels, and installing new sight guards. The project has a completion timeline of 210 consecutive calendar days, with the City potentially delaying the Notice to Proceed by up to 90 calendar days for pre-construction submittals.

The bid proposal includes a 10% bid security requirement, with liquidated damages set at $1,860 per day for project delays. The City will evaluate bids based on the lowest aggregate base bid amount and may choose to fund the base bid and/or the alternate bid items at its sole discretion. The successful bidder will be required to provide a 100% Performance Bond and Payment Bond, and must hold a valid Arizona State Contractor's License. The document emphasizes that the bid is subject to the City's right to reject any or all bids, and includes a non-collusion affidavit to ensure the integrity of the bidding process.
