About this file

This is a Q&A document containing four questions and responses related to a janitorial services procurement for Customs and Border Protection facilities in Sarnia, Ontario. The responses clarify that bidders do not need prior janitorial services experience in their past performance, though any past performance submitted should be recent and relevant. The document confirms that only prime contractor information should be included on past performance forms, Canadian companies are permitted as subcontractors, and provides the current/previous contract number as 70B03C20P00000137.

The associated opportunity requires weekly cleaning services for trailer facilities (approximately 250 square feet each) in Sarnia, Ontario, with no running water. Services include floor cleaning, dusting counters, cleaning refrigerator, desks, window ledges, bathrooms, and overhead light fixtures as needed. The vendor must provide their own cleaning supplies and water, with services to be performed on an approved weekday excluding Federal Holidays.

RFI Responses

1. 1- Regarding the past performance form, do we need to have janitorial services as Past Performance to bid on this contract? We did multiple forestry services and vehicle deliveries. We also sent multiple janitorial services proposals in the past, and intend to keep doing so.

· Answer: No – but if you do fill it out, past performances must be recent and relevant. If you don’t have any recent and relevant past performances, then leave it blank when submitting your quote.

2. If it's possible for us to bid: do we have to put the contractor's name or the subcontractor doing the janitorial work's name on the past performance form? Or both?

· Answer: the prime contractors information should be submitted since the prime will be the one receiving a contract with the Government.

3. Is it possible to have a Canadian company as a subcontractor to do the janitorial work?

· Answer: Yes

4. Could you please provide the current / previous contract number?

· Answer: 70B03C20P00000137
