About this file

This is a Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement Attachment B issued by the Jordan School District in accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) for vendors seeking to contract with the district. The statement applies to all vendors providing goods or services, including supplies, information technology, and construction services. Vendors must certify that they are not currently engaged in an "economic boycott" or a "boycott of the State of Israel" as defined in Utah Code, and they must agree to refrain from such boycotts throughout the duration of any awarded contract. The statement provides specific examples of prohibited boycotts, including boycotts of the State of Israel, traditional energy companies, mining or agricultural companies, firearms manufacturers or distributors, companies not meeting environmental standards beyond state and federal requirements, and companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. Vendors who discover they are engaged in such a boycott must immediately notify the public entity in writing.

All vendors submitting proposals must sign and submit this attestation statement, providing the solicitation name and number, company name, printed name of the authorized representative, and date. The statement serves as a binding certification for the entire contract period and is a mandatory compliance requirement for participation in Jordan School District procurement activities. Failure to comply with these boycott restrictions or falsification of this certification may result in contract termination and potential legal consequences under Utah state law.

Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement Attachment B

(Revised 09/10/2024)

ATTACHMENT B

Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement

In accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) Public Contract Boycott Restrictions, vendors contracting with the Jordan School District to provide any good or service, including supplies, information technology, or construction services, must certify they are not currently engaged in an “economic boycott” nor a “boycott of the State of Israel” as those terms are defined in that Code section. Vendors must also agree not to engage in either boycott for the duration of the contract (if awarded). For example, a vendor may not, without an ordinary business purpose, boycott: the State of Israel; companies engaged in activities related to traditional energy, mining, or agriculture; companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution, sale, or use of firearms; companies that do not meet environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws; or companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. If a vendor does engage in such a boycott, it must immediately notify the public entity party to the contract in writing.

We agree to comply with the above statement during the entire contract period.
