About this file

This is a Signage Bid Package for the Franklin County Pavilion located at 365 South High Street, Columbus, Ohio, prepared by PLANIT Studios on behalf of Franklin County. The project encompasses the design, fabrication, and installation of comprehensive interior signage throughout the pavilion facility, including room identification signs, directional signage, elevator identity signage, evacuation maps, digital wayfinding kiosks, campus directories, overhead building identity signs, and flag signs. The bid package specifies 14 total signage elements to be installed throughout the facility. The project requires phased installation beginning with stairwell signage (S1/S2) followed by floor-by-floor completion to minimize service disruptions. Specific sign locations are withheld from the public bid document for security purposes and will be provided to the awarded contractor. The successful bidder must obtain a Sign Agent Mobile License and provide iPad documentation of all installations and progress updates synced daily with the master Sign Agent document.

The signage contractor assumes total responsibility for final control drawings, engineering, materials selection, sign fabrication, and installation in compliance with current state and federal building codes. The contractor must develop and submit a written phased project schedule for owner approval, with no gaps in signage coverage during the removal and installation process. The contractor is responsible for temporary signage placement when removal and installation cannot occur on the same business day, as well as patching and painting walls following sign removal using paint colors and finishes provided by the owner. Bi-weekly on-site meetings with the owner's representative and PLANIT are required, with the contractor's project superintendent expected to attend regularly. All completed work must be documented through Sign Agent with photographs added as comments; undocumented work will not be accepted as completed. The owner's representative must inspect and approve each completed phase before the contractor proceeds to the next phase.
