About this file

This document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to provide systems furniture for the U.S. Department of State's diplomatic facilities worldwide. The Department of State is seeking high-quality, low-maintenance systems furniture that can adapt to evolving facility requirements. The RFQ covers both panel-based and freestanding furniture systems, with requirements for integrated power, telecommunications, storage, and ergonomic features. The BPA has a one-year base period with four one-year option periods, with a maximum ceiling of $100 million. Responses are due by August 19, 2024, and the Department will award the BPA against an existing GSA schedule. Offerors must provide details on products, drawings, wiring diagrams, industry certifications, and past performance with overseas 220V/50Hz furniture installations. The RFQ also has requirements for designated local furniture dealers with security clearances and past project experience.

POWER REQUIREMENTS

• The receptacle configuration shall utilize host country voltages (all receptacles UL listed).

– For 220V/50Hz - NEMA 6-20R receptacles.

– For 120V/60Hz - NEMA 5-20R receptacles.

• The electrified configuration typically uses a

10 wire (4+4+2) OR 8-wire (2+2) four circuit configuration.

• Two circuits used for computers, and two used for lighting and general purpose receptacles.

• Power is factory assembled GFE wiring harness (in-feed or “whip”) to connect the power conductors junction box for each cluster.

• At the junction box, the four furniture circuits shall be wired to at least two separate branch circuits, one each for the computers and accessories.
