About this file
This is an attachment to a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by Mora County, New Mexico, outlining insurance qualification requirements for general contractors and subcontractors bidding on the Mora County Complex Tenant Improvements project. The attachment specifies two primary insurance documentation requirements that prospective bidders must submit with their proposals. Bidders are required to provide a letter from their insurance carrier on official letterhead documenting the company's Workmen's Compensation Experience Modification Rate (EMR) for the most recent five-year policy period average. Additionally, bidders must submit either an ACORD insurance form or a letter from an insurance carrier confirming the firm's ability to obtain insurance coverage in the limits specified in the General Contractor Qualification Statement Section 7.iii, or in the Subcontractor Qualification Statement Section 7.vi if applicable.
The insurance requirements serve as part of the contractor qualification process for the tenant improvement project, which involves construction of interior improvements and limited exterior building modifications to the Mora County Courthouse in Mora, New Mexico. The project encompasses completion of the South Wing buildout to accommodate Mora County Administrative Offices and renovation of the first floor center section to create a courtroom for the Fourth Judicial District Court. No specific pricing, cost estimates, or financial terms are detailed in this attachment, as it focuses exclusively on the documentation and qualification standards bidders must meet regarding insurance coverage and loss history.
