About this file

This is an insurance qualification requirements attachment for a construction proposal submitted to the New Mexico Department of Public Safety for the Albuquerque Metropolitan Complex project. The document outlines mandatory insurance documentation that bidders must provide as part of their general contractor (GC) and subcontractor qualifications.

Bidders are required to submit two primary insurance documents on the letterhead of their insurance carrier organization. First, bidders must provide a letter from their insurance carrier that lists the company's Workmen's Compensation Experience Modification Rate (EMR) averaged over the most recent five-year policy period. Second, bidders must submit either an ACORD insurance form or a letter from an insurance carrier confirming that the firm can obtain insurance coverage in the limits specified in the GC Qualification Statement Section 7.iii, and in the Subcontractor Qualification Statement Section 7.vi if applicable to the bidder's scope of work. These insurance requirements ensure that all contractors and subcontractors maintain adequate coverage and demonstrate safety performance history prior to contract award.
