About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document related to an LED Lighting Conversion project solicitation issued by the Cherokee County School District (CCSD) in Georgia. The document compiles vendor inquiries and responses from multiple contractors including Bell Electric Lighting, Capital City Electrical Services, Sam Jones, Inergy Solutions, and Regency Supply, generated through February 3, 2026. The project requires the replacement or retrofitting of LED lighting fixtures across multiple CCSD facilities, including bus shops, middle and high schools, support services buildings, technology centers, and an education service facility. Key clarifications provided include: Training Center scope must be included with Bus Shop 2; Middle School and High School proposals should be quoted separately with shared facilities assigned to High School; existing branch wiring should be reused; dimmers are required in classrooms, media centers, offices, and cafeterias with 0-10V control cables concealed above ceilings; work should be completed during school breaks with evening work permitted during school days; and all fixtures shown on drawings must be replaced, with standard 2x4 flat panels assumed for unmarked fixtures. The project allows for site visits to verify ceiling heights and equipment accessibility, and building addresses were clarified for technology centers (G=1030, H=1020, I=1010).
Multiple vendors raised concerns regarding the clarity and readability of fixture schedules and lighting layouts within the provided drawings and specifications. Paula Hilton, the procurement official responding to inquiries, consistently indicated that no alternative or clearer prints were available and directed vendors to quote based on what is shown on existing drawings or to assume standard fixtures where information is unclear. Vendors were instructed to reference only the provided drawings and proposal forms for pricing determinations, and shared spaces between facilities were specifically assigned to ensure accurate pricing separation across the multiple school locations and support service buildings involved in the conversion project.

Lighting Schedule alexandria Andrews, Feb 02, 2026 2:29 PM EST
There is a lighting schedule attached to the Lighting Layout Documents. Would it be possible if they're sent separately? They're blurry and unreadable.

Question for project alexandria Andrews, Feb 03, 2026 9:57 AM EST
Q1. Training Center There is a Training Center sheet shown on Page 3 of the binder; however, we do not see a corresponding Training Center breakdown in the proposal form. Please confirm with your GC whether the Training Center scope is required to be included in our pricing. Q2. Woodstock MS & Woodstock HS Breakdown In the proposal form Excel sheet, Woodstock MS and Woodstock HS are shown as separate breakdowns. However, based on Pages 27–29 of the drawings, it appears both schools are combined.
Specifically, Page 29 seems to consider them together. Please clarify whether these should be priced separately or combined. Q3. Building Levels Identification On Pages 17–19, three (3) levels are shown, but there is no indication of which building or school these levels correspond to. Please clarify which facility these levels belong to. Q4. Branch Wiring for Fixtures Please confirm whether we are required to include new branch wiring for the light fixtures, or if we should assume the existing branch wiring is to be reused. Q5.
Dimming Requirements Per the specifications, it appears that one dimmer switch per room is required. Please confirm if this interpretation is correct. Additionally, please confirm whether 0–10V dimming control cable is required. If so, should this be installed in Wiremold or concealed above the ceiling? Q6. Fixture Schedule Clarity Some of the fixture schedules on the drawings are unclear/blurry. Please provide a clearer version if available. If a clearer version is not available, please confirm whether we may reference and reuse the fixture schedule from other drawings where the same fixture types and shapes are clearly shown.
Paula Hilton, Feb 03, 2026 4:16 PM EST

For the Middle school and High school, total counts have been provided but not separated by school. The Proposal form shows the schools separated. Are there counts for each school? Or if we are to count the drawings and separate the schools, where should the shared spaces be quoted?
Shared spaces should be quoted to high school. Please separate the Middle School.
