About this file
This document provides answers to questions from a site visit regarding Solicitation Number 15A00023R00000085 for the Laboratory Dual In-Line Uninterrupted Power Supply Installation. The lab has no equipment to transport the uninterrupted power supply (UPS) and batteries from the first floor to the fourth floor, so the awardee will be responsible for providing all necessary equipment and personnel. The elevator dimensions are 44 inches wide by 48 x 77 inches inside, with a weight limit of 2,500 pounds. There is a 34-inch wide door from the docking bay to the elevator and through the lab. The floor weight capacity cannot be determined but a previous unit weighing 1,978 pounds was delivered with no issues. Details on available electrical circuits, panel feeds and capacities are provided in the updated Statement of Work. The room for the UPS measures 9 feet by 12 feet. Lithium ion batteries are required. A load survey to verify the 60kVA UPS specification is currently being performed and the solicitation will be extended to allow time for its completion.
