About this file

This document is an Amendment Request for Information (RFI) for the Cape Cod National Seashores Racepoint Area Facility project (Solicitation Number: 140P4325R0017), issued by the Department of the Interior National Park Service Northeast Region. The RFI addresses 25 specific questions related to project details, including site conditions, safety requirements, and construction specifications. Key project elements include installing two new double vault toilet/tank structures on pad #1 and pad #4, purchasing a CONEX Box for lifeguard equipment storage, performing exterior wood trim painting, replacing roof joists, and installing free-standing outdoor showers.

The project has critical environmental considerations, including a seasonal restriction on ground-disturbing construction between April 15 and October 15 to protect Eastern Box Turtles. Contractors are required to conduct their own site investigations, perform soil classification, develop shop drawings, and verify field conditions. The contract is performance-based, with contractors responsible for selecting products and systems that meet structural, durability, accessibility, and code requirements. No specific manufacturers are pre-selected, and all proposed products will be subject to submittal review and approval.
