About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for Solicitation 140FGA26R0006, Amendment 0002, addressing clarifications on various project requirements and specifications.
The Q&A document covers furniture specifications, site conditions, design standards, and contracting requirements. For Room 104 training tables, power and data receptacles are required and must be plugged into floor boxes with daisy chaining capability. Both break rooms (first and second floor) require rectangular tables and chairs. Finish material grades and colors must be selected from manufacturers' full ranges, and CAD files will only be provided post-award for shop drawing preparation. The Geotechnical Report was provided in Amendment 0001. Additive #1 includes resurfacing of pavement and additional sidewalk extensions at northeastern and southwestern limits per drawing C-102. The contract's water line work terminates at a valve and cap to be installed by others along the southeast side of the existing refuge roadway. The exterior fence design must follow details 8 and 11 on drawing C-502. Upon award, the contractor may coordinate with the Refuge Manager for wetland drawdown with anticipated water surface levels at or below elevation 381 feet. Specification Section 06 10 00 regional materials and certified wood criteria requirements have been deleted. This is a proposal-based acquisition (not an Invitation for Bid), with proposals evaluated and award made; contract information becomes public afterward. The proposal due date will not be extended. No MWBE contracting goals are required following Executive Order 14173. Basis of design products for stone masonry veneer are Pangea Natural Stone Roman Castlestone Pattern in Sierra Ridge Color for thin stone veneer and North American Cast Stone Amherst Gray for cast stone trims, with equivalent competing products acceptable if matching color and patterns.
