About this file
This is an E-Verify Requirement Form for the Town of Palm Beach, Florida, applicable to the Par 3 Restroom Renovation project. The document establishes compliance requirements for all contractors and subcontractors working on projects for the Town. The form mandates that proposers be registered with the E-Verify System (E-Verify.gov) and use it to electronically verify employment eligibility of all newly hired workers beginning January 1, 2021. All subcontractors performing work under the contract must similarly be registered with E-Verify and maintain verification of workers' employment eligibility. Proposers are required to obtain affidavits from subcontractors confirming they do not employ or contract with unauthorized aliens as defined under Florida Statutes Section 448.095(1)(k).
The Town of Palm Beach reserves the right to terminate the contract if it has good faith belief that the contractor has knowingly violated Florida Statutes Section 448.09(1). If a subcontractor violates this statute, the Town will notify the contractor to immediately terminate the subcontract relationship. Contractors whose contracts are terminated for E-Verify violations will be barred from receiving future Town contracts for one year from the termination date and will be liable for any additional costs incurred by the Town resulting from the termination. Contractors must maintain copies of subcontractor affidavits for the duration of the subcontract and any extensions thereof, or for any longer retention period required by other contract provisions. The form requires submission of company information, contact details, federal identification number, and authorized signature.
