RFI #1 – RFI #2 –The following door opening mark numbers have hardware set numbers listed on the door schedule that contradict their listing on the hardware schedule.
Opening 103 is listed on the door schedule with hardware set C1 and listed in the hardware schedule with hardware set C2.
Opening 104A is listed on the door schedule with hardware set C2 and listed in the hardware schedule with hardware set C3.
Opening 111 is listed on the door schedule with hardware set C2 and listed in the hardware schedule with hardware set C3.

USFS Response – See Addendum for revisions to Drawing A4.1, Door Schedule, Hardware Group designations. See Addendum for revision to Spec Section 08 71 00.
RFI #2 – In section 01 23 00 Alternates of the specs the base bid is for 8,658 sqft, Alt 1 is 1,310 sqft, and Alt 2 is 924 sqft. The statement of work states that the base bid is 8,671, Alt 1 is 1,308 sqft, and Alt 2 is 850 sqft. Please advise what the correct square footage of this project is.
USFS Response – Note that building areas given are approximate only. Contractor retains responsibility for all quantity take-offs. As a courtesy, see Addendum for revisions to Spec Sections 01 10 00 and 01 23 00 related to square foot areas. [These areas are revised to correspond with the areas shown on Drawings A2.1, A2.2 and A2.3.]
RFI #3 – The floor plan does not clarify the location of the fire walls. Please advise.
USFS Response – See response to Round #2 RFI #18. [No fire rated walls in project.]
RFI #4 – Will the bottom of the trusses require drywall as well?
USFS Response – No GWB intended at bottom of trusses.
RFI #5 – Detail 4 on page A8.4 does not match the reflected ceiling plan. Please advise.
USFS Response – See Addendum for revised Detail 4 on Drawing A8.4, attached.
RFI #6 – Page C2.1 Detail 10 shows a metal edging. Please provide spec information. Detail does not show any attachment. Please clarify.

RFI #7 – Please advise if plans have already been sent to the city of Porterville for review. If so, please provide the pricing or allowance amount to include in the contractor’s bids for the permit acquisition.
USFS Response – This is a federal project and is exempt from a City Building Permit. See Addendum 2 for Contractor obligations related to encroachment permits and utility connection and inspection permits and fees.
RFI #8- Is this project exempt from acquiring a Grading, Building, and Landscaping permit from the City of Porterville? Currently the building department is unaware of this project.

RFI #9- When will the Architect submit plans for City of Porterville review?

RFI #10- Should the contractors allow a budget number for Permit Fee’s? If so, how much?

RFI #11- Utility company planning is typically coordinated with the owner and architect. Have the utility companies been made aware of this project (PG&E/Edison, Gas Company, Phone, Cable, etc.)?
USFS Response – Southern California Edison and Southern California Gas are aware of the project and their engineering efforts for the project are in progress.
RFI #12- Is there a PG&E and or Edison Rule 16 utility plan available?

RFI #13- Please confirm that a full-time quality control manager is necessary for this project.

RFI #14 – Please advise the amount of liquidated damages per day and if there be any retention held on this project?

RFI #15- In section 28 23 00 – 29, subsection 3.03 E it states “install cameras and infrared illuminators level and plumb” But there does not appear to be a specification for IR illuminators nor locations for the IR illuminators on the drawings. Please identify where these details can be located.
