About this file
This document is an Important Notice regarding Conflict of Interest Reporting Requirements issued by the City of Midland, Texas, specifically addressing compliance with Local Government Code Title 5, Chapter 176. The notice outlines mandatory reporting requirements for vendors with business relationships with local governmental entities, specifically focusing on the Conflict of Interest Questionnaire (Form CIQ) that must be filed within 7 business days after a vendor becomes aware of facts requiring the statement.
The document emphasizes serious consequences for non-compliance, including potential contract termination and removal from the bidders list for a minimum of one year. Vendors are required to disclose any conflicts of interest as defined by the statute, with the form to be submitted to the City of Midland's City Secretary. Notably, when no known conflict exists, filing is not necessary, but the form must be submitted if a conflict is subsequently discovered.
