About this file
This document outlines warranty requirements for a federal construction subcontract. It specifies a one-year warranty period for all work performed, including rework, installation, labor and materials where applicable. Warranties for equipment, subsystems and manufactured components must be provided for 12 months from the date items are put into use as documented by a Certificate of Occupancy. The subcontractor is responsible for remedying any defects during the warranty period at its own cost, including field labor, materials and replacement of defective parts or whole equipment items if needed. Warranties must be submitted in quadruplicate within 14 days of acceptance of applicable work or substantial completion, whichever is later.
The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation from the Department of Energy for prime and paint interior walls and floors at an unspecified location. No other details are provided about response dates, pricing terms, set asides or incumbent.
