UNSPSC 56111602: Storage for panel systems

UNSPSC 56111602 Storage for panel systems is a Commodity code that, based on recent state and local solicitations, encompasses storage and shelving components integrated into broader furniture and fixture packages for institutional facilities. State and local governments procure under this code storage cabinets, shelving units, and related storage systems as line items within larger furnishings contracts for schools, housing, and administrative buildings. The issuing bodies span state education agencies, county education departments, and municipal entities. The Texas Facilities Commission and Harris County Department of Education represent repeat buyers in the recent activity block, though the code sees limited standalone solicitation — storage products typically appear as components of comprehensive furniture and fixture RFPs rather than as discrete procurement actions.

Recent activity is concentrated in Texas, where the Texas Facilities Commission issued RFP 0010514 in August 2026 for a furniture and fixture package for the Texas School for the Deaf Access Student Housing Building and Classroom Expansion, with proposals due September 10, 2026, and including storage cabinets and shelving as line items within five bid packages covering residential bedroom furnishings, classroom equipment, and security components. Harris County Department of Education concurrently issued CSP 26028MF in June 2026 through cooperative purchasing vehicle Choice Partners for Modular Buildings and Related Items maintenance and job order contracting, establishing a framework for ongoing facility maintenance and improvement that includes storage and panel-system components. No standalone storage solicitations appear in the recent-opportunities block; the code shows little independent procurement activity outside integrated furniture and fixture packages.
