UNSPSC 56101541: Mattress ventilators

UNSPSC 56101541 Mattress ventilators is a Commodity code, but the recent state and local contract opportunities do not reflect procurement activity aligned with the code's nominal scope. The opportunities tagged under this code include Kwalu furniture replacement at Texas State Veterans Homes (multiple locations), classroom furniture and supplies through a regional purchasing cooperative, Mother's Room furniture for Texas health facilities, law enforcement equipment through a cooperative purchasing vehicle, park construction, and arts and craft supplies — none of which involve mattress ventilation products or services. The mismatch between the code designation and the actual work being solicited suggests either a data classification error or that mattress ventilators see little or no discernible recent activity in state and local procurement.

The issuing bodies across the opportunities span state agencies (Texas General Land Office and Veterans Land Board, Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Department of State Health Services), regional purchasing cooperatives (Region 7 Purchasing Cooperative, Sourcewell), county governments, city public works departments, and municipal purchasing divisions. If the code were accurately reflecting procurement activity, expected buyers would likely include facilities management departments, healthcare systems, and corrections or residential care institutions. However, the current opportunity set provides no concrete basis for characterizing issuing-body patterns, geographic concentration, or market activity under this code. The source contains no recent solicitations for mattress ventilators or related products from state or local buyers.
