About this opportunity

The State of Colorado Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Wildlife, issued a Documented Quote (DQ1) Bid Solicitation for the procurement of one truss floating boat dock to be delivered to Jackson Lake State Park in Orchard, Colorado. The solicitation requests competitive quotations from qualified vendors capable of designing, constructing, assembling, and delivering a dock meeting comprehensive specifications including structural framing manufactured from 2" x 2" x 3/16" angle and 0.5" round rod with AWS-standard welding and ASTM A-123 galvanization, expanded polystyrene flotation meeting Coast Guard standards with a 12-year warranty, pressure-treated deck boards or concrete pavers or polypropylene composite decking, malleable iron cleats, wood bumpboard, PVC vinyl rubrail, and galvanized handrails. All costs including delivery and freight must be included in the final bid price with F.O.B. Destination terms. Submittal requirements include pricing, specification verification, vendor information sheet, auto insurance certificate demonstrating minimum liability coverage of $1,000,000 each accident combined single limit, and a completed W-9 form if applicable. Written inquiries regarding the solicitation were due by May 18, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. MST, with answers posted by May 19, 2016, while bids were due May 23, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. MST, with the bid award expected by May 24, 2016. The dock must be delivered on or before August 15, 2016, and all bids must be submitted via email to dnr_cpw_bids@state.co.us, USPS, courier, or hand delivery to the Procurement Office at 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203.

Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) registered with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs are eligible to receive a 5% bid preference on price, and residence bidder preferences apply per Colorado statute. All vendors must comply with employment eligibility verification through the E-Verify Program and maintain required automobile liability insurance throughout contract performance. The State of Colorado will issue a Purchase Order to the awarded bidder incorporating all solicitation documents and standard Colorado Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, with payment due within 45 days after receipt of products and a correct invoice, plus interest accruing at the rate specified in CRS 24-30-202(24) beginning on the 46th day for any unpaid balance. The contract terms and conditions document does not specify a budget range or award value, as pricing was to be determined through competitive bidding. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are referenced in the solicitation materials, and vendors are responsible for all design, construction, assembly, and delivery logistics without reference to existing infrastructure requirements.
