About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting quotes for furniture to outfit the Alfred Superior Court library, with quotes due August 24, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. local time. Tie bids will be resolved in favor of in-state bidders or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine.
Electronic submission is required. Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder offering the best value to the State, with evaluation considering product quality, conformity to specifications, delivery dates, and overall economy. Pricing must be submitted as separate unit prices for each item, delivered to destination with all transportation charges prepaid by the contractor unless otherwise specified. Cash discounts of 20 days or more will be considered in bid evaluation; discounts under 20 days will not be factored into award decisions.
The State of Maine is exempt from Federal and State sales taxes; bidders should quote accordingly without including these taxes. Samples must be provided at no charge. Bidders may submit additional and alternate bids with supporting documentation prior to bid opening. The Division reserves the right to reject any or all quotes, waive technicalities, and increase or decrease ordered quantities by up to 10 percent unless otherwise stated. All deliveries must comply with applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations. The contractor is prohibited from assigning, subletting, or transferring the purchase order without written consent from the Director.
