UNSPSC 41111929: Radiation detectors

UNSPSC 41111929 Radiation detectors is a Commodity code that shows minimal recent state and local procurement activity aligned with its nominal scope. The single recent opportunity posted under this code — Clackamas County, Oregon's BID# 2026-55 — is an armored coating construction project, which falls outside the radiation detection equipment category that the code's name suggests. The mismatch indicates that either the opportunity was mis-tagged at posting or the code does not reflect active state and local demand for radiation detection instruments. State and local procurement offices do source detection equipment and instrumentation, but not under this specific code in recent weeks.

Clackamas County posted the armored coating solicitation as an IFB (sealed bid) with an August 11, 2026 response deadline and an engineer's estimate of $225,000. The work requires prevailing wage compliance, Good Faith Effort outreach to at least three certified minority, women, and emerging small businesses per subcontracted division, Construction Contractors Board registration, and performance and payment bonds. The geographic origin is Oregon, but the single opportunity provides no reliable signal of where radiation detector procurement concentrates. Business development professionals should treat this code as inactive for radiation detection equipment sourcing and monitor alternative codes or family-level aggregates if radiation detection instruments are a core offering.
