About this opportunity

The Florida Department of Health, Division of Disease Control and Health Protection, Bureau of Environmental Public Health, is seeking to procure Short-term Passive Radon Test Kits and associated services through a single-source purchase from Radon Testing Corporation of America. The Department requires these test kits for distribution to Florida residents to expand radon testing, mitigation, and data collection in new and existing structures, in accordance with the Environmental Protection Agency State Indoor Radon Grant (SIRG) Award. The services to be provided include analyzing the returned test kits, creating and sending laboratory reports, and conducting quality control and quality assurance procedures. The estimated contract term is 3 years, with an estimated dollar amount of $250,000 for the single-source purchase. The Department made four unsuccessful attempts to competitively procure the requested services through an Invitation to Bid and has determined that Radon Testing Corporation of America is the only available source for the required products and services.

The Department has not indicated any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond to this opportunity. There is no information provided about any existing incumbent vendors or contractors, or any requirement for integration with existing infrastructure or technology. The $250,000 estimated value for the single-source purchase represents the total budget range for this contracting opportunity.
