About this opportunity

Alpine School District's Department of Purchasing is requesting proposals for roofing materials, labor, repair, installation, and related services under Solicitation #ASD07022026HM, with proposals due July 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM Mountain Time. The District anticipates awarding multiple contracts to responsive and responsible offerors who achieve a minimum score of 80 points, though award does not guarantee use or purchase of vendors' products or services; the District reserves the right to conduct best value assessments considering budget, cost, individual school preference, district preference, and compatibility.

The scope includes standing-seam metal roof panels (1-1/2" high, 16" wide, 24-gauge G-90 galvanized steel with Kynar finish), mechanically fastened PVC membrane roofing systems (60–80 mils with electromagnetic induction welding), rigid polyisocyanurate insulation (R-value 30 minimum), metal soffit panels, roof drainage systems, sheet metal flashing and trim, and snow guards and penetration firestopping. All materials must comply with ASTM specifications, NAAMM guidelines, and SMACNA recommendations. Installers must be UL listed, possess a minimum of ten years' experience, hold manufacturer authorization, and maintain a successful track record equal to the 25-year warranty period with installations in the Intermountain geographic region. Vendors must submit reference buildings with owner contact information for verification. Pre-installation conferences are mandatory with the Owner, Architect, Contractor, and Installer.

The contract term is five years maximum. Vendors must certify compliance with Utah Code Annotated 63G-27 et seq. anti-boycott provisions, confirm no forced labor products, and submit background checks for all employees accessing school buildings. Cost points are awarded to the vendor with the lowest proposed price (100 percent of total cost points), with all other vendors receiving points based on percentage difference from the lowest price. The price guarantee period extends for the time stated in the solicitation; requests for price adjustments require at least 30 days' notice and supporting documentation.

Alpine School District is anticipated to be reconfigured effective July 1, 2027, into three separate districts—Lake Mountain, Aspen Peaks, and Timpanogos School Districts—and awarded vendors must honor the same pricing and contract terms with any newly formed districts for the same duration.
