About this opportunity

Paragraph 1:

Spalding County, Georgia is seeking the services of a qualified firm, partnership, joint venture, or team to provide consulting services for the preparation of a comprehensive Parks and Leisure Services Master Plan. The scope of services includes conducting an inventory and assessment of the current parks and facilities, engaging the community, developing 5-year and 10-year master plans, and preparing detailed deliverables. The County requires the selected consultant to have extensive experience in parks and recreation planning, an understanding of the project area, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. Proposals are due by March 15, 2024, and the County intends to award a single contract and make a selection within 60 days of the proposal deadline. The RFP outlines the required qualifications, insurance requirements, and technical proposal components, and proposals will be evaluated based on factors such as staff capacity, project understanding, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Paragraph 2:

The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. It also does not list any incumbent vendors or current contractors. The document provides limited information on the potential award value or budget range, but notes that the County reserves the right to negotiate with the selected firm and to reject any or all proposals. The procurement process appears to be open to a wide range of qualified consultants and firms, with the County focused on identifying the most capable partner to develop a comprehensive master plan for its parks and leisure services.
