About this opportunity
Jordan School District in Utah has issued a Request for Information (RFI) #26TH07RFI for Windows Device Management solutions, seeking comprehensive information about endpoint management platforms for approximately 3,500 Windows devices and 55 technicians managing approximately 11,000 total devices. The RFI is designed to gather detailed vendor insights across 14 critical capability areas, including platform architecture, device provisioning, identity and access security, software distribution, patch management, privilege management, remote support, and reporting capabilities. Vendors are required to submit detailed responses through Utah Public Procurement Place Bonfire, with questions due by January 20, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. MST, and full RFI responses due by January 30, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. MST. The evaluation will focus on vendors' ability to integrate with the district's existing on-premises Active Directory infrastructure, PXE-based imaging workflows, and specific technical requirements such as role-based access controls, software deployment tracking, and device management processes. The district explicitly states that this RFI is not a solicitation for bids or proposals, but may lead to a proof of concept, subsequent RFP, or direct solution selection.
The RFI does not specify any specific set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent organizations. The district currently maintains a multi-vendor device procurement approach and operates with local infrastructure, including on-premises Active Directory and secondary school caching nodes. Existing technology integrations that vendors must consider include Trend Micro, Google Admin Console, Skyward, Destiny Resource Manager, and on-premises Active Directory/LDAP systems. No specific award value or budget range is disclosed in the documents. Vendors are instructed to provide comprehensive information about their products' capabilities, licensing models, and technical specifications without including pricing information. The RFI emphasizes that responses should focus on genuine differentiating strengths, explaining how their platform addresses complex Windows device management challenges in an educational environment. The district is clear that this information-gathering exercise may inform future procurement decisions but does not guarantee any contractual commitment.
