About this opportunity

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has issued Request for Information (RFI) #6000003295 to solicit market information regarding an Enterprise Data Governance Platform. This information-gathering initiative seeks vendor input on comprehensive, federated data governance solutions designed to support the Port Authority's hybrid data environment across operational and analytical use cases. The RFI addresses the agency's need to enhance data trust, transparency, quality, controlled access, and auditability while supporting integrated customer and stakeholder data management, supplier information systems, regulatory compliance and auditability, analytics and business enablement, data product governance, and cloud migration and system consolidation. Respondents must demonstrate capability in data cataloging and discovery, data quality management, data lineage and impact analysis, policy management and workflow, reporting and dashboards, and technical attributes including architecture, scalability, integration capabilities, and data security. The platform must integrate with the Port Authority's existing hybrid environment comprising Microsoft Azure, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle databases, and Power BI. Questions from prospective respondents must be submitted by May 6, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET, with formal responses limited to twenty-five (25) pages due by May 22, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET through the Bonfire platform. Respondents must provide at least three customer references for comparable enterprise deployments, including at least one public-sector or similarly regulated environment.

This RFI contains no set-aside designations, incumbent vendor information, funding amounts, or pricing specifications, as it represents a preliminary market research phase to inform potential future procurement activities. The Port Authority has affirmed its commitment to compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, ensuring that all businesses receive full and fair opportunity to submit responses without discrimination based on race, color, national origin, age, or disability. The Port Authority reserves the right to conduct follow-up interviews, issue a subsequent Request for Proposal, or take no further action based on the information received. Technical assistance is available through bids@panynj.gov or (212) 435-4600, and interested parties should monitor the Port Authority's business opportunities website and the Bonfire platform for any addenda or updates to the solicitation.
